Earnings season is here!

Earnings season is here!

This week, ASML kicked off earnings season with great results:

• EPS: €7.59 vs €6.88 est.
• Revenue: €9.33B vs €8.87B est.
• Gross Margin: 54.0% vs 51.9% est.

𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 Revenue: €43B-$45B vs €39.34B est.

The same goes for TSMC, posting a strong quarter as well. And yet, the semi segment sold off violently this week. Most semi's are now down 30-50% over the last month or two. This type of sell-off often comes with opportunities so this article covers some of the names I personally find most interesting:

The semi sell-off: opportunity?
On this page Over the past month we’ve seen many semi stocks drop up to 45% from their prior highs. I think it’s a story of two sides that causes the current drawdown. Let’s unpack those first before diving into the opportunities. 1 - The Kimi K3 scare

New stock analysis

Over the past week, I updated two one-pager stock analyses: COHR and RBRK:

  • COHR: this businesses is perfectly positioned to benefit from the shift towards photonics, but that still a 2027+ story. I think the stock was front running that shift with fundamentals not catch up (yet). I believe it's still richly valued, even after the recent sell-off
  • RBRK: A great business focused on data protection and recovery. Data breaches are not a matter of IF but WHEN and Rubrik is one of the best businesses out there to help organizations with that. Valuation-wise I believe they are reasonably valued after the stock is up nearly 100% from its prior lows

The updated one-pagers for ASML, TSM and NFLX will be out in the next few days and will be included in next week's newsletter.

New cover art

I'm always looking to improve my content and I'm currently working on new cover art for my research pieces as well as the illustrations I use in my in-depth research. Below is an example of the concept cover pages for the AsterLabs deep dive, investing in AI energy and Ouster deep dive. I hope you like them and feel free to share feedback!

New publications

A hidden gem: I came across this business via a community member. It's one of those businesses that are quite rare: hard to displace, widening moat, high quality leadership team with an extraordinarily long tenure, strong and improving financials and exposed to several major industry tailwinds. It has all the characteristics I look for when hunting for high-quality compounders with multibagger potential.

This one's exclusively for paid members.

A hidden gem in the AI scaleout
A company crucial for modern tech to work, holds a near monopoly in their respective market, yet is barely covered.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!
