How to read these returns
Portfolio: returns come directly from Portfolio Dividend Tracker in EUR, using the return method selected in PDT. Each observation is a cumulative return from the selected start date. Gains, dividends, costs and cash flows are handled by PDT; this is not a chart of account value.
S&P 500: PDT simulates the same starting capital and subsequent deposits and withdrawals in iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF (Acc.), CSPX on Euronext Amsterdam, quoted in EUR. Income accumulates inside the fund. This cash-flow-matched comparison can differ from the headline US-dollar index return or a simple buy-and-hold ETF return.
Annualized: cumulative returns are converted to an annual compound rate using the elapsed years between the displayed start and end dates. The two multi-year headline cards include annualized returns. “pp” means percentage points.
Periods and detail: Month means the past calendar month. YTD starts on 1 January 2026; 3 years and 5 years are rolling periods. Max starts on PDT’s first recorded portfolio date, 22 Aug 2019. Since Jan 2023 starts on 1 January 2023. Month and YTD show every daily observation; the longer periods show every weekly observation supplied by PDT’s cumulative benchmark, plus a zero baseline on the day before the selected period and the latest endpoint. The baseline keeps first-day returns visible. Each portfolio point is fetched directly from PDT for that same date. No synthetic intermediate points are added.
